MomocloTV, Momoiro Clover Z's official channel on Ustream, has won the grand prize of the Ustream Taisho award organized by Ustream Asia where viewers are invited to vote for their favorite channels.
The award this time was given the theme that literally means "Everyone, come vote for Ustream programs you think are really interesting" and popular programs were selected through viewer voting. Ustream Asia began inviting nominations for programs at the end of last year and asked viewers to vote between January 11 and 21. Of the programs, the top 20 were nominated and these programs were invited to participate at the Ustream Taisho award ceremony, which was streamed live on January 31.
The variety of nominated programs included Tokyo Girls' Style's "TGS UST.TV," Tower Records' official channel "Tower Records Japan," original local radio programs, as well as user-oriented programs. During the ceremony, the nominated programs were introduced in order, from No. 20 up, with certificates and supplementary prizes being awarded to the people that made the programs.
The grand prize winner, Momoiro Clover Z were unable to be at the ceremony, as they had to be at their own live event "Momoiro Clover Z Shiren no Nanaban Shobu: Episode 3" on the same day, but they attended the ceremony through live broadcast from their own event. The group's leader Kanako Momota shared her joy of winning the award via the Internet, saying: "Our program is usually rather casually done, but we are really glad that people who watch it can enjoy it. We'll continue to be the casual Momoiro Clover Z that you have come to know, and we hope we will be able to keep bringing you good and fun programs. Stay tuned, everyone!" As a supplementary prize from Ustream Asia, the group also won themselves a one-day exclusive right to take over the entire Ustream.
Incidentally, Tokyo Girls' Style was voted No. 2 and the group's leader Miyu Yamabe came on stage to represent the group. Her appearance at the award ceremony was streamed live on the group's TGS UST.TV program in a unique Ustream way to entertain fans.
