On January 9 Dohatsuten held their "Dohatsuten, Hashiru! 'Tokyo Wasshoi Keikaku'--Shibuya no Maui de Dezomeshiki" event at the first-floor plaza of Marui City in Shibuya to celebrate the release of their latest single Nippon Retto Wasshoi Keikaku.
On this day of the single's release the 4 members wore happi coats and got into their promotion car to tour around Tokyo promoting the single. On the same day they also announced on their official website their first concert at the Nippon Budokan titled "Dohatsuten Kessei 30-shunen Nippon Budokan Koen 'Honto, Domone'" which will be held on January 12, 2014, the day of their 30th anniversary. The event at Marui City Shibuya this time served as the New Year opening act in preparation of their Nippon Budokan concert.
About 300 fans gathered in front of Marui City in Shibya after learning about the promotion event. Those who attended the event were each given an "Official Supporter Card." The 4 members of Dohatsuten told fans of their individual thoughts on the 30th anniversary of the band and shared the excitement about the Budokan concert. At the end the band and the fans shouted the triumph call "Ey ey oh!"
Naozumi Masuko (vocals) is currently conducting a 3-day in-store event titled Masuko, Hashiru! Nippon Retto Wasshoi Keikaku that started on January 10 to cover 5 Tower Records stores in Sendai, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya. From January 14 he will go on a 7-concert tour titled "Ja no Michi wa Heavy Tour 2013" (literally "The Snake ('ja' also pronounced as 'hebi', sounds similar to the word 'heavy') Path is Heavy Tour 2013"), before continuing to do the raging tour "Dohatsuten Misojimae" leading up to the Budokan concert next year.
