The joint unit of Illreme and Traks Boys called (((Surround))) will release its first album "(((Surround)))" on March 7.
(((Surround))) is a unit established in 2010 under the concept of "wanting to make pop music" by Illreme (Vo, G), K404 (PC, Drum Machine), and Crystal (Key). This album has turned out to be "2012 type city pop" with the combination of the Illreme's devotion towards song pieces which has been a strong trend since it has started activities under Jun Kamoda's name and the track making of Traks Boys who has gone through a variety of club music.
This album recorded 10 songs including "Summer timer" which is the first song released under the (((Surround))) name and distributed free in August 2010, "Time live de tsukamaete" co-written and performed jointly with Shohei Takagi of cero, a cover of Motoharu Sano's famous song "Juju" sung with a spinning air exceeding the original song, and "R.E.C.O.R.D." recorded in one shot by the three of them without using pre-arranged DTM music. The chorus was sung by achico (Ropes, WUJA BIN BIN) who is a support member in live concerts, and STRINGS BURN a.k.a. Kashif (PAN PACIFIC PLAYA) participated on the guitar.
In (((Surround)))'s official website, you can currently listen to a preview cut of "Fuyu no Setsuna" in advance of the CD release. This is a song based on "Happy Birthday", a song recorded by Koki Takai under the Ahh! Folly Jet name in the album "Abandoned Songs From the Limbo" released in 2000. They have added an arrangement to "Happy Birthday Diet KARAOKE" which is the song without the voices and base music, and Illreme has written new lyrics for it.
